First and foremost, I am a mother of four wonderful children, three boys and a girl. My

pregnancies were all great, my deliveries were relatively smooth and I nursed them all for about a

year. I was surrounded by family and friends and had endless amounts of support, but that was

years ago. Families no longer live near each other and most family members work and are unable to

provide the additional care and support you may need at this time. Your husband or partner may

have to return to work and would like to know you have the care that is beneficial to the healing

process. This is why I became a doula.

I began helping friends after their first births, offering breastfeeding advice, sharing ideas and

information, little tidbits I had picked up at playgroups or in the park. All of this knowledge is

invaluable to a new mother and I loved to share what I was learning with them.

The need for doulas is great. The postpartum depression rate drops when you are empowered with

the knowledge to care for yourself and your newborn. The confidence you acquire with the help of

a doula will carry into your relationship with your children well into their future.

I am a certified doula, having done my training with CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum

Professional Association). I am certified, insured and have CPR certification that is renewed

annually. I have been caring professionally for new mothers and their newborns since 2001. I have

many happy mothers and wonderful babies and toddlers, calling me Aunty Linda, who would like to

share with you their experiences of having me as their doula. Please call or write for an updated

reference list.
